Individual portraits, personal branding, high school and college seniors. These sessions are all about the individual; it's your opportunity to indulge...just a little. Whether you are getting portraits of yourself, as a small business owner, entrepreneur, high school senior, or political candidate campaign, this service is for you. Regardless of what brings you to the shoot, I strive to produce images that will reflect your unique personality and style - and you can expect to come away with a stunning collection of images. The following tips will help you prepare for our time together. Location: While I have many locations I shoot at regularly, I'm always open to suggestions or a favorite spot you have in mind. The goal is to select a location that fits your style and personality. I'm always happy to help you think through this decision. Time: If shooting in your home, plan on beginning late morning as this is when most homes are best lit with natural sunlight. For outdoor portraits, one hour before sunset provides optimal lighting. Typically, mid-day lighting is very harsh. Length of Session: Plan on meeting for an hour. What to Wear: Pick something comfortable that reflects who you are. Feel free to bring a couple changes to achieve different looks. Just remember to HAVE FUN CHOOSING YOUR LOOK. Here are some things to consider: - Try your outfits on in advance to make sure everything fits the way you want - Bring layers; never trust the forecast - NO NEON COLORS or large patterns (we want the focus to be on you) - NO BIG LOGOS, brand names, characters, or words on clothing - Compliment the location you have chosen - Choose accessories purposefully - Be yourself! I'm always available for suggestions or assistance. Keep in mind that my personal style may differ from yours, but I will always view your outfits from a photographer's perspective.
